Durban – The place with no Winter
While our city’s year-round weather is sublime, we are thankfully heading into cooler months which means it’s the ideal time to get out and explore Durban and its surroundings on foot. So, if you’re looking for a unique experience in Durban, come join us for a walking tour. You won’t regret it!
New Tour Loading – Bangladesh Market & Temples
Join us for a cultural tour where we visit the Bangladesh Market & Temples
The tour starts at the Bangladesh Market which has a long and rich history. It was established in the 1980’s and has been a major trading hub ever since. The market is known for its vibrant atmosphere and wide variety of goods, ranging from fresh produce, spices etc.
We then move on to a local Shrine in the area and from there on to “The Temple of Understanding” with its incredible architecture makes this a fascinating visit. It was designed in the shape of a Lotus flower and built in 1969, with its marble tiles, gold tinted windows, it is more than impressive and lavish. It is also regarded as the largest Hare Krishna temple in Africa.
We will finish the tour off with a delicious light vegetarian Indian meal.

Calling all schools
If you are interested in having your school join us for an excursion, please contact us.
Pupils have enjoyed learning about Gandhi, in the Grey Street Precinct while others have been enchanted by the Point Precinct where they have explored and discovered the facadism and gentrification of the precinct’s buildings. Others have been tutored on the harbour and its workings and we have also included the City’s Roof Top Garden. We have also explored and walked the city centre with pupils. Another popular option is the lesson in business and economics offered by the Warwick and Indian Markets walking tour.
Our highly informative school walking tours have been very successful with both teachers and pupils. Last year throughout the terms we offered dedicated learning excursion tours to government and private schools, including primary and high schools from PMB, Upper Highway, Umhlanga and the North Coast.
